Zoom Call

This past Monday, all 22 of our teaching staff came together on Zoom to talk about the upcoming weeks of online schooling. Over the past couple of days, we have been hosting online meetings so you can connect with your child’s teachers via Zoom, Google Hangout, or Google Meet. Hopefully you were able to have the opportunity to connect with us successfully, but if not, please continue to use Dojo to your advantage. Staff will be checking Dojo and posting daily, so please feel free to get on there to check for any updates and/or ask questions.

While online teaching and learning is not our preferred way of teaching, our faculty and staff is working hard to continue to engage your students and find fun ways to help them feel connected to Powhatan and each other. Next week, we will be hosting a “Digital Spirit Week.” Encourage your kids to get in the Powhatan Spirit, even from home! Take a photo of your child each day in his/her spirit-wear, and post to Facebook with the hashtag #PowhatanSpirit to spread the love! If you do not have Facebook but would like to share your photos, please send them to me via email at zac.housley@omeresa.net. We will also be sharing your child’s photos on our website in the coming weeks.
