Teacher gives back to community during pandemic

Posted on: April 10, 2020

This has been an adjustment for all of us: online schooling, limited social interactions, and many people not being able to work. A great emotional outlet is letting your mind be creative! Journal, paint, sew, cook, make crafts with your kids around the house, whatever you can dream up.

Mr. Ed Trinoff, River High’s principal, Mr. Eric James, River Elementary’s principal, Mr. Casey Tolzda, Beallsville’s principal, Mr. Chris Caldwell, Skyvue Elementary’s principal, and Mr. Zac Housely, Powhatan Elementary’s principal, have teamed up to lend the schools’ 3D printers to having masks be made for this cause. Without all of these machines, River would only be able to produce four shields per day.

STEM instructor Mr. Mark Moore has been volunteering his time to make these masks for first responders. See some of his work below!
