Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) is a new district-purchased curriculum that allows students to experience Work and Life Skills training, Proper Work Behavior Development, and Work Exploration. Students are Formally and Performance Based assessed and provided with a Vocational Assessment. PAES also provides instructors and teachers with the data for Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Transition Plans.

Woodsfield Principal Mr. Josh Ischy says, “Through PAES, students learn and get practice at both the hard and soft skills needed for employment and independent living. They are educated and gain experience, mostly hands-on, in the areas of Computer Technology, Construction and Industrial environments, Processing and Production, Consumer Services, and Business and Marketing.”

For students who do not choose the college preparatory pathway, this program can assist them in developing the skills needed for a vocational or trade-service career.
