SWITZERLAND OF OHIO PRESCHOOL EXPANSION INFORMATION
Preschool tuition is free of charge to all district residents for the 2021-2022 school year.
SOLSD will be opening additional preschool classrooms, specifically three kindergarten readiness preschool classrooms for children who are 4 1/2- 5 years old. These classrooms will be located at Beallsville Elementary, Powhatan Elementary and Woodsfield Elementary. There is also the opportunity to open two additional preschool sites, within the Skyvue Elementary and River Elementary areas, based on the incoming enrollment.
This decision was made based on the preschool expansion survey that was released and answered by 81 Switzerland families. Please view the results of this survey at the end of this article.
The newly-added classrooms will use a preschool curriculum to prepare preschool-age students for the kindergarten classroom. The children will have the opportunity to attend preschool 4 days a week. We will continue to offer a 2-day-a-week program for our younger 3- and 4-year old students.
How can I enroll my child?

Call the OVESC office to have a preschool application mailed, emailed, or scanned to you at home.

Call the OVESC office or your local elementary school to schedule a preschool registration time either on March 30 or March 31. This is an option for families, however you do not have to register in person, for preschool.
*All documents must be returned to the OVESC office before the application is considered complete.
