In Demand Jobs

Given the circumstances, it’s easy to worry about the future. We wanted to share a virtual jobs week with you and your students to make the search for future employment opportunities a little easier.

Whether you’re a student looking for what career you would like to pursue, a job seeker looking for companies who are hiring, or a teacher or parent looking for activities to do with your students, Ohio’s second annual In-Demand Jobs Week is for you.

Building Bridges to Careers is celebrating this week, which runs from May 4- 8, by highlighting companies and industries in the Mid-Ohio Valley who are both currently hiring and who are looking for students who may be interested in the careers they employ.

Join us on our Facebook page, each day from May 4 – 8, to learn about these companies, careers, and jobs.

  • At 11 a.m., we will highlight a different company with careers students may be interested in.
  • At 2 p.m., we will highlight different industries and companies with immediate job-openings.

And on Friday, May 8 from 1-2 p.m., the State of Ohio will have a Virtual Career Exploration Panel with professionals from essential fields, including medical, social work, construction, and firefighter and EMT. The panelists will discuss their career paths and their experiences during COVID-19.

There is also a Toolkit for parents and educators, with activities for students in grades K-12 to explore different careers.
