Chase Baumberger Saddles Up to Win 2 World Belt Buckles

Beallsville is home to a championship horse rider. Chase Baumberger recently won 2 world belt buckles and several more awards for his riding abilities. Chase spent much of the past six months traveling to two horse parks more than two hours away to train and compete against riders of all ages. On March 12, staff members from Creekside Horse Park visited Beallsville Elementary School to deliver Chase’s awards.

Chase won two world belt buckles for in-hand and riding competition. Those buckles are awarded for competition against international riders from the United States, Canada, France, German, Italy, Australia, and more.

Chase also placed second in open riding and in the mini pony division, both of which include adults. He was also named champion of the Regional Youth Division. In 2019, Chase was the IMTCA youth riding champion and high point champion.

IMTCA is International Mountain Trail Challenge Association. It promotes a riding discipline known as Mountain Trail, which navigating through natural and manmade trail obstacles like bridges, balance beams, rock patches, and more.

Chase has given a significant amount of time and energy to his sport, but he is proof that hard work pays off. We are so proud of your accomplishments Chase. Keep bringing home the hardware!
